History
Fiberstone has been manufacturing high performance solutions for over 20 years. Operating from a primary manufacturing site in the UK, the company has built an enviable reputation for exceptional quality and innovative solutions to several global industries.
Fiberstone Products was incorporated following a successful R&D programme by Fibretech. The project focussed on the development of a ceramic-steel composite material that would provide exceptional operational performance in high temperature and chemically aggressive environments, as well as having superior toughness to withstand repeated mechanical impact.
The Company showed rapid growth, with revenues doubling since inception. This led to investment in a modern production facility, located on the same site as sister-company Fibretech.
The new facility provided Fiberstone with better productivity output and increased capacity for larger and more complex designs.
Following the economic downturn in 2008, the Company recovered well and revenues surpassed previously levels to a new all-time high.
Headcount increased to support the growth, and Fiberstone concluded several successful trials in copper plants located in Europe.
Fiberstone was now regularly suppling precast pieces into the aluminium, copper, steel, cement and precious metal recycling industries.
Fiberstone shipped its 1000th order, reaffirming its position as a market-leading supplier of ceramic-steel composite solutions.
The Company now has over 75 repeat customers located across 20 countries, and an enviable reputation for delivering superior products.
The Covid-19 global pandemic impacted sales demand, which provided the Company with sufficient downtime to install major new operating equipment, improve the production facility and commence an R&D programme to develop new ceramic-steel recipes for potential markets.
The downtime also provided the opportunity for the Fiberstone production operatives to undertake LEAN training modules, to drive continuous improvement and working efficiencies.
Fiberstone completed a marketing exercise to energise the company branding and outward communications model. The new branding signified a more contemporary approach, with cleaner and redefined visual offering as well as an improved positioning strategy.
The Company concluded a series of successful trials to introduce Fiberstone into a chemically-aggressive petrochemical operation, paving the way for further R&D into new markets.
